David Tanenbaum (Photo by Manfred Pollert)THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING ORCHESTRA

Back by popular demand, the Bay Area’s own guitar-superstar David Tanenbaum returns to perform Gabriela Lena Frank’s Latin Grammy Award-winning Inca Dances and Vivaldi. We also feature our new chamber orchestration of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. This marks the first offering in our innovative Incredible Shrinking Orchestra Project, the result of a year’s work by five talented young composers from the SF Conservatory of Music.

Join Maestro Ben Simon for an engaging pre-concert talk 30 minutes before the show! Doors open 45 minutes before show time.

DAVID TANENBAUM, GUITAR

Beethoven: Variations on "Là ci darem la mano."
Vivaldi: Concerto for Guitar & Viola d’Amore
Gabriela Lena Frank: Inca Dances
Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring [Chamber Orchestration, World Premiere]
